Who the community is open to
The community is open to people of any age (under 65, generally) who are looking for an affordable alternative to traditional insurance, particularly people without employer coverage, people whose employer plans are too expensive to use, and self-employed individuals and families.

The Newpath Medical community offers three plan levels (a routine-care plan, and two tiers that include hospital care sharing). Monthly contributions depend on which level you choose, your age, and how many people in your household are joining.

A quick overview of what each plan level covers
All three plan levels include 24/7 virtual primary care, in-office primary and urgent care, pediatric care, an annual adult physical, well-child visits, basic chiropractic, x-rays, mental health tele-counseling, prescription support, and labs.
The Hospital and Hospital PLUS levels add specialist care, advanced imaging (MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammogram), and inpatient and outpatient hospital care, with per-visit member responsibility and an annual per-plan-year member responsibility limit. Hospital PLUS extends sharing into specialty care scenarios beyond the Hospital tier. The current list is available from Redirect Health.
Pre-existing conditions have specific sharing rules that depend on member tenure. The full program guidelines and exclusions are presented during enrollment.

Enrollment in the Newpath Medical community is facilitated by Redirect Health, our healthcare and administration partner. Their team walks you through everything: the program guidelines, the contribution amount for your household, and the standard enrollment documents. Redirect Health's team handles enrollment end-to-end, and you'll complete the process on their platform.
A note on how this works structurally: members of the Newpath Medical community sign two documents at enrollment. One is a membership agreement with Newpath Medical. The other is a care services agreement with Redirect Health, who facilitates day-to-day administration and care. Both are part of the standard enrollment process and Redirect Health walks members through both.
Not insurance.
Newpath Medical is not an insurance company, and membership in our voluntary cost-sharing community is not insurance. Participation is voluntary, and there is no contractual guarantee that any medical expense will be shared or paid. Members remain personally responsible for their medical bills. This program is not a substitute for health insurance.
Not ACA-compliant.
This program does not meet the minimum requirements for Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) or the Affordable Care Act. New Jersey, Massachusetts, California, Rhode Island, and the District of Columbia have individual mandate laws; membership in the cost-sharing community does not satisfy those mandates and state penalties may apply.
