What we make visible, and how to verify it.
Governance, financial allocation, the Financial Assistance Policy, and the documents that support our charitable representations.
How Newpath Medical is organized
Newpath Medical Inc. is a Wyoming nonprofit corporation governed by its board of directors and operated under bylaws adopted at incorporation. Conflict-of-interest, whistleblower, and grievance policies are documented and available on request.
Where contributions go, and what gets reserved for non-members
Newpath Medical targets 85% of total member contributions toward healthcare services that members incur. We allocate at least 10% of our annual net care surplus to the Benevolent Fund, and 50% of Benevolent Fund resources are reserved for individuals who are not members of the community. This structure extends meaningful charitable benefit beyond the cost-sharing community.
How requests are reviewed
Our Financial Assistance Policy governs how the Benevolent Fund reviews requests for assistance. The policy uses Federal Poverty Guidelines and other hardship criteria to determine eligibility, and it reserves at least 50% of Benevolent Fund resources for individuals who are not members of the cost-sharing community.
Who checks the numbers
Cost-share contribution amounts are set annually by an independent third-party actuary. The Newpath Medical board reviews program performance, financial allocation, and Benevolent Fund disbursement at regular intervals.
